Compulsory Earthquake Insurance (DASK)

DASK (Doğal Afet Sigortaları Kurumu — Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool) provides compulsory earthquake insurance for residential buildings under the Disaster Insurance Law No. 6305.

Material damage caused directly to the insured building by earthquake and by fire, explosion or landslide following an earthquake — including foundations, main and shared walls, ceilings and floors, stairs, corridors, roofs and chimneys — up to the sum insured. The maximum sum insured is set by DASK every year.
